Welcome to La Parolaccia Osteria, a true gem nestled in the heart of Long Beach, California. This Italian restaurant invites you to immerse yourself in an authentic culinary experience, where traditional Northern Italian flavors meet a warm and charming atmosphere.

As you step inside, you're greeted by a bustling ambiance filled with the welcoming sounds of cheerful conversations and Italian expressions amongst the staff. This shared vibrancy contributes to the restaurant's genuine Italian vibe, making every visit feel like a celebration of culture and community.

La Parolaccia Osteria prides itself on its carefully curated menu, featuring a delightful array of dishes that showcase the rich flavors of Italy. Start your meal with the Burrata Con Pesto—a luscious, creamy mozzarella paired with sweet cherry tomatoes drizzled in balsamic reduction and crowned with fragrant basil pesto. For something a bit more adventurous, the Calamaretti brings lightly fried calamari and bay shrimp served with a zesty arrabbiata tomato sauce that dances on your palate.

Move on to the salads, where you can savor the crisp, vibrant flavors of the Rughetta salad, featuring fresh arugula tossed with zesty onions, olives, and shaved parmesan in a bright lemon vinaigrette. And don’t miss the prizes of the primi section—indulge in the Bomboni con Salsiccia e Tartufo, where rigatoni is enveloped in a rich sauce of pancetta and black truffle that will leave you craving more.

Many guests rave about the restaurant's delectable pastas, with one satisfied customer exclaiming that their meal was "one of the most memorable they had eaten in some time." Whether you're a fan of the robust Rigatoni alla Bolognese or the light and satisfying Pennette al Salmone, you're sure to find something that delights your taste buds.

The wine selection is impressive, although some reviews suggest it leans towards the pricey side. Yet, the value of culinary excellence often justifies the splurging on a good bottle to complement your meal—especially when paired with a dessert like the creamy pistachio gelato that one customer describes as "to die for."

Reservations are highly recommended, as La Parolaccia Osteria tends to fill quickly—especially during peak hours. This speaks volumes of its popularity and the authentic culinary journey it offers to every diner.

Overall, La Parolaccia Osteria is not just a meal; it’s an experience that resonates with all the best aspects of Italian dining—great food, warm service, and a vibrant atmosphere. Drop by and feel like you’ve transported yourself to the enchanting streets of Tuscany without ever leaving Long Beach.

The food was good, little pricey for what it is, but overall good. Wine was overpriced as well. They aremt serving anything that I saw worth $15-21 a glass. The pasta itself was good, the sauce and meatballs lacked flavor in areas. I'm a snob when it comes to Italian food, though, so take that for what it is. The atmosphere was nice, just a tad too busy and crowded for my usual liking. Service was good as what can be expected with a place as crowded and busy as this.

From the ambiance to the bread basket and all the way through to desert, this spot knows Northern Italian cooking. Knew it was going to be a family recipe kind of place when most of the servers are speaking Italian. Hands down one of the best old country style restaurants in LB!

This restaurant was such a fabulous place to gather with colleagues. Several at our table commented that their meal was one of the most memorable they had eaten in sometime. Amongst the group of eleven, we had most of the pastas and the branzino. It was all absolutely fantastic. The ingredients are largely sourced from Italy, and the family who runs it (who we asked to meet and thank!) clearly put an immense amount of love and care into the dishes they prepare. Our service was thoughtful and thorough, and the space had a pleasant homey vibe. Will definitely come again!!! Don’t sleep on this place!

Italy in Long Beach. Felt like I stepped back in Tuscany coming here. Everything was perfecto. Got the seafood filet in lemon and basil sauce with roasted potatoes and vegetables. Chianti classico was really good. Pistachio gelato to die for.

Decided last minute to come for our anniversary on a random weeknight, arrived before 6pm and had to wait 25-30 minutes! Definitely a great sign when the restaurant just opened at 4pm and there were so many people already coming and going. We ordered the special and probably was my least favorite dish, it was missing something for us, but was also my first time trying mortadella, which was much lighter in flavor than I anticipated. The bread was amazing though! I ordered the lasagna and honestly, fell in love. It was the perfect size with enough sauce all around- warm, gooey, and the sauce really holds the dish perfectly. I would love a lasagna on a cold winter night. My husband enjoyed his pasta dish as well. My only complaint is that they did not have many options for non-alcoholic drinks- despite having what seems like a full bar near the front? Our Italian sodas were from bottles/cans that we’ve seen before, so that was less exciting for me. The vibe was cool because it was casual or dressy- depending on who was there and our food was served right away. Overall, I’d love to come back and try more items out and I will continue to dream about that lovely lovely lasagna.

Great, friendly service!Food was good, however it's authentic Italian and you really have to know the menu regarding what you order. They do offer nightly dinner specials and are happy to assist with explaining your meal options.

We went there Saturday evening to celebrate bday. It is busy, but it helps that you can make reservations. Appetizer to dessert, everything tasted perfect Service was really responsive and attentive. It definitely made sense this place has been around for a long time being loved by many. Would definitely come back. I got squid ink pasta and truffle pizza and they both tasted great.

This place is the real deal. Their pizza is so crunchy and salty and delicious. My Italian friend, outside of Rome, thinks it’s the best pizza in LA, and I do not disagree. He says the pasta is good too.
